Oh my goodness, what a great week we had! We left Friday afternoon right after I got out of school. It took a little longer to get out of town than we anticipated. We stopped three times in about 40 miles because Sam couldn't stop pooping! Traffic came to a screeching halt after a tractor-trailer caught on fire, then we had to stop and get gas. All of this before we pulled over for a quick bite to eat and change into pjs...it was a LONG drive...we arrived in Dallas, TX at 2 am to stop at our hotel. Of course the boys were up for the next hour having a late night party. Pure EXHAUSTION!
The next morning, we met Pops, Gumbea, Aunt Cole, Uncle Chris, Camp and Cash at the Fort Worth Zoo for a fun-filled day!
ZOO DAY 1
This shirt couldn't have said it better...especially at the MOST crowded zoo ever!
Sam, Camp, Jack and Cash....what a crew of boys!
These two are just a month apart and play so well together.
Jack was so excited to see Camp. He asked at least once every thirty minutes during the trip if we were there yet.
Gumbea and Cash in the TEXAS history part of the zoo
Riding the Komodo Dragon. We saw a real one just before this and it was HUGE and quite interesting.
Calling Aunt Rahrah at the beach. She didn't answer.
My big boy measuring his wing span.
Mommy and her biggest, little love. I adore him.
Mommy and Aunt Cole. We had the best time catching up!
FARM Day 2
After the zoo, we drove back towards Abilene and stayed at the Farm with everyone. We fed cows, rode four-wheelers, climbed hills, dug in the dirt, shot bb guns, got REALLY dirty, and found lots of treasures. We had such a relaxing time.
Sam and Cash waiting on a tractor ride.
I could eat him up.
Best Friends
Might be my all-time favorite picture. (don't worry..this particular gun was very broken!)
Riding four-wheelers with Aunt Cole
I have a picture similar to this except the four of us had just all gotten married and instead of holding our kids, we were holding our LAB puppies. My how things can change in just 7 short years!
If this doesn't make you smile, NUTTIN' will!
My littlest, little love and me. I could kiss his cheeks all day.
My biggest love and me. We rode the four-wheeler together for old times sake!
Best picture of the whole trip!
I am telling ya...these two are inseperable when they get together.
Abilene Days 3-7
One afternoon we met Creighton and his sweet momma at the park to feed the ducks and play. It is always so good to catch up with them. We just always need more time!
Such sweet friends.
They all raced several times. They all had to win several times!
We had a birthday party for Cash while we were there. He turned 2! All the boys had matching shirts to celebrate St. Patrick's day.
Nothing helps when you are cutting FOUR teeth at once.
The next series of pictures may be overload for you. I couldn't help but capture my little man eating this birthday cupcake. It was precious.
He L.O.V.E.D. every single bit of it. So much he had to go straight to the tub afterwards.
Just playing with some picture editing.
We had such a great time. The week flew by and we had to come home and back to work. Thanks for the great time Pops and Gumbea. We will see you again in a few months for another great week!
